【摘要】:Thepourpointofapetroleumproductisanindexofthelowesttemperatureofitsutilityforcertainapplications.Flowcharacteristics,likepourpoint,canbecriticalforthecorrectoperationoflubricatingoilsystems,fuelsystems,andpipelineoperations.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthepourpoint.Inmostcases,thistestmethoddoesnotrequiretheuseofmechanicalrefrigerationapparatus(see7.1).ThistestmethodyieldsapourpointinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97/IP15whenthe3x00B0;Cintervalresultsarereported.Note28212;SincesomeusersmaywishtoreporttheirresultsinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97(in3x00B0;Cintervals)theprecisionswerederivedfromthetemperaturesroundedtothe3x00B0;intervals.ForstatementsonbiasrelativetoTestMethodD97,see13.3.Testresultsfromthistestmethodcanbedeterminedateither1or3x00B0;Cintervals.ThistestmethodhasbetterrepeatabilityandreproducibilityrelativetoTestMethodD97/IP15asmeasuredinthe1992and1998interlaboratorytestprograms.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofpourpointofpetroleumproductsbyanautomaticinstrumentthatappliesacontrolledburstofnitrogengasontothespecimensurfacewhilethespecimenisbeingcooledanddetectsmovementofthesurfaceofthetestspecimenwithanopticaldevice.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtocovertherangeoftemperaturesfromx2212;57to+51x00B0;C.However,therangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1992interlaboratorytestprogramonlycoveredthetemperaturerangefromx2212;39to+6x00B0;Candtherangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1998interlaboratorytestprogramwasfromx2212;51tox2212;11x00B0;C.(see13.4).1.3Testresultsfromthistestmethodcanbedeterminedat1or3x00B0;Ctestingintervals.1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedforusewithcrudeoils.Note18212;Theapplicabilityofthistestmethodorresidualfuelsampleshasnotbeenverified.Forfurtherinformationonapplicability,referto13.4.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
